EXCLUSIVE: Writer Adrian Cardenas is making his directorial debut with the film In An Orderly Fashion, which just completed production in Miami with Oscar Nuñez (The Office, The Paper), Marlene Forte (The Rookie, Star Trek), Otmara Marrero (Florida Man, StartUp), and Vivian Ruiz (Bloodline, Pain & Gain) in lead roles.

In An Orderly Fashion follows Rafa (Nuñez), a devoted physical therapist who dreams of traveling the world in retirement. But on the first day of freedom, he’s rewarded with a terminal illness. Chaos ensues when he asks the unthinkable of his beloved nurse wife, Aida (Forte): to put him out of his misery, so long as he doesn’t know when it’s coming.

Marrero stars as Gabriela and Ruiz as Maria.

“Making this movie in my hometown of Miami with Oscar, Marlene, Vivian, and Otmara was a dream,” shared Cardenas, who before taking his talents to Hollywood was a Major League Baseball player for the Chicago Cubs. “I’m grateful the script resonated with them and that they trusted me to guide them as they so skillfully navigated the tonal tightrope between dark comedy and drama. Their talent and generosity extended beyond their performances, setting the tone for a cast and crew that became family in the process.”
