Truist Financial (TFC) named former Bank of America executive D. Steve Boland as vice chair to work across the company to advance the bank's agenda and support execution of its highest-priority initiatives, the company said.
Boland was chief administrative officer at Bank of America (BAC) before he retired in 2025. He also was previously president of BofA's retail banking division.
Shimna Sameer, who Truist previously announced would lead Truist Wealth, will become chief consumer banking officer. Before joining Truist, she worked at Bank of America in key consumer banking, wealth management, and private banking roles.
Jeff Warner will join the bank as chief small business banking officer. He comes from PNC Financial Services (PNC), where he spent more than 25 years serving small business, corporate, and public finance clients and leading large-scale operations teams.
Dontá Wilson, Truist's (TFC) chief consumer and small business banking officer, will be leaving the bank.
Separately, Truist (TFC) announced Q3 earnings that missed consensus estimates and the sale of its unsecured lending platform to Carlyle Group for $7.7B.
