Inside Vadivelu’s 100 crore home with traditional design, modern features

Tamil comedian and actor Vadivelu, popularly known as Vaigai Puyal, has added a new property to his life away from the big screen. The actor’s new house has drawn attention for its traditional design and modern facilities.

Starting from the verandah reminiscent of old-style Tamil houses right up to the solar panel and surveillance camera, the premises offer an amalgamation of village-style and modern facilities. There is also a garden with fruit trees, a parking place, and a separate office room for the actor. Reports put the estimated value of the property at around Rs 100 crore, although the figure has not been independently confirmed.

Vadivelu’s new house features traditional Tamil architecture

Unlike a modern home built around glass walls and flashy designs, Vadivelu’s new house reportedly follows a traditional architectural style. According to Filmibeat, one of its key features is a thinnai, the raised seating area commonly found at the entrance of old Tamil homes. The space offers visitors a place to sit and spend time. A small statue of Lord Ganesha is also present at the property, which gives a devotional touch.

The house seems to be a combination of traditional Tamil architecture while offering the comfort of a modern home. The large outdoor space also helps guests sit comfortably when they come to meet the actor.

Solar panels, CCTV, and a private office among Vadivelu house amenities

The property is said to include a number of amenities for the convenience and safety of the occupants. Solar panels have been installed to meet the energy requirement, while the inverter works as a backup during a power cut.

CCTV cameras are also included in the security system. The house also has a dedicated parking space for cars, making it easy to park vehicles. Another important amenity the house offers is an office located on the property itself.

Vadivelu’s new home has a garden with fruit trees

Green spaces are another feature of the actor’s new residence. The garden reportedly includes sapodilla, banana, gooseberry, coconut and jackfruit plants. These trees give the outdoor area a natural setting and add to the traditional atmosphere of the property.

With its greenery, open space and classic front verandah, this house is quite unique and stands out from the regular city houses. The estimated Rs 100 crore valuation mentioned in reports has also attracted attention, though no verified property valuation has been made public.

Through his performances in 'Maamannan' and 'Maareesan,' Vadivelu introduced a new side of himself as an actor to his fans that did not revolve around the typical comedian roles he is known for.
