A $12,000 monthly budget sounds like plenty of room to breathe. Shilo Sanders learned that in New York, it might buy a closet with a view. The son of Deion Sanders has spent weeks hunting for a new home on camera, and the city's rental market just left him stunned. While he searches, his younger brother Shedeur Sanders is about to step into his first start of the 2026 NFL season with the Cleveland Browns. Two brothers, two big moves, and one family that rarely stays out of the headlines. Here is what is happening.

Shilo Sanders Sounds Off On New York Apartment Prices

Shilo Sanders posted a new YouTube video this week from a barber's chair, and the topic was money. His 324K subscribers have followed the house hunt for weeks. Florida came first. He skipped a Downtown Miami place with river views once he heard the price, and safety worries kept him away from West Palm Beach. New York looked like a fresh start. Then the listings arrived.

"My biggest thing about New York, bro, is the square footage for the price," Shilo said. "Like, even if my budget is, I'm not even gonna say this is my budget, but you can go all the way up to $12,000 a month, and it's despicable what they're doing up there, bro. I don't know who normalized the real estate market in New York, but it's outrageous, bro."

The timing adds pressure. Shilo is working through an $11.89 million bankruptcy case, and Judge Michael Romero has not issued a final ruling because some videos remain missing. A separate $170,000 claim from Barnes & Thornburg LLP ended in October, when the court dismissed it with prejudice. Shedeur Sanders has offered to cover the down payment on any home Shilo chooses, but the monthly rent stays with Shilo.

Shedeur Sanders Gets Ready For His Cleveland Browns Start

Shilo also found time to review his brother's work. Shedeur Sanders will likely start Sunday against the New Orleans Saints because Deshaun Watson entered the concussion protocol after reporting symptoms on Tuesday. After watching Shedeur's Wednesday press conference, Shilo gave his take.

"He handled that interview really good," Shilo said. "They try to get him caught up in stuff, and he's good at just keeping the main thing the main thing, and just focusing on what's important, and that's winning games and doing your job. So that was a great interview by Shedeur."

Shedeur shut down one topic himself. Asked about his decision to hire an agent, he fired back: "What's that have to do with this game?" Shedeur said. "I'm focused on this game. Anything else really doesn't matter at this point."

The Browns sit at 5-3 with Watson, so the stakes are real. A sharp showing against a struggling Saints defense could turn a quiet backup role into a loud debate. For the Sanders family, it is another week where football and real life collide.
