Big Brother 2026 confirms reunion episode air date amid surge in ratings for latest season on ITV

ITV has commissioned a one-off reunion special that will bring the Big Brother 2026 cast back together, with Big Brother: The Reunion set to arrive on ITV2 and ITVX next month.

The 60-minute special follows a strong run of ratings for the current series, which returned in September for its fourth season. Hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best will reunite this year's housemates against the backdrop of the Big Brother house to revisit the "moments, friendships and fallouts that defined their time in the house".

The special episode will air on Friday 6 November, and viewers can expect "big revelations, unfinished business and plenty of drama" as the housemates look back on the talking points of the series and reveal where they stand now.

The reunion lands after a string of impressive rating figures, with the Big Brother brand having clocked up 202 million streams on ITVX, with the current series alone exceeding 37 million streams, up almost 14 million (58 per cent) on the equivalent point last year when Big Brother and companion show Late & Live were both airing. The series is up 68 per cent among 16 to 34-year-olds.

The live launch in September drew around 600,000 overnight viewers on ITV2, slightly ahead of the previous year's opener, a figure that excludes ITVX streaming.

David Smyth, commissioner for entertainment and reality at ITV, said: "Big Brother has created some of the most iconic and talked-about moments in reality TV this year, and we're looking forward to reuniting our Housemates to reflect on their unforgettable journeys. Viewers can expect plenty of surprises, laughter, and perhaps a few scores to settle."

Katy Manley, managing director at Initial, commented: "Big Brother 2026 has been an absolutely fantastic series. Our incredible Housemates have given us some unforgettable TV moments, and we couldn't be happier with the success of the series.

"We're thrilled that ITV have asked us to make a reunion show. What better way to round off an incredible series by bringing everyone together to look back at their time in the iconic Big Brother House."

Big Brother: The Reunion airs on Friday 6 November on ITV2 and ITVX.
