Chess Olympiad Round 3: India’s Open, Women’s Teams, Pairings and Live Stream

Defending champion India will return for the third round of the Chess Olympiad in Samarkand on Friday after winning its opening two matches in both the Open and Women’s sections.

India won its second round matches in both sections fairly comfortably on Thursday.

In the Open section, it defeated Indonesia 2.5-1.5. R Praggnanandhaa, D. Gukesh, and Vidit Gujarati were all held to draws but Nihal Sarin’s victory secured the win for India.

In the Women’s section, India defeated Finland 3.5-1.5. Divya Deshmukh, Vantika Agrawal, and Savitha Sree B all won, while R. Vaishali was held to a draw.

For Friday’s matches, Koneru Humpy comes in for Vaishali and Arjun Erigaisi comes in for Vidit.
