Christopher de Leon remains hopeful children Lotlot, Ian will reconcile

While he opted not to meddle in the feud between his children Lotlot de Leon and Ian de Leon, Christopher de Leon said he is certain the two will eventually mend their strained relationship.
The veteran actor spoke up for the first time about the siblings’ conflict during an interview on Ogie Diaz’s YouTube vlog on Friday, Sept. 18.
“Nakausap ko na silang dalawa, hiwalay, not the same day. At ayokong makialam because ang pinag-aawayan nila is the mom, the mother,” Christopher stressed, referring to the late Superstar Nora Aunor. “Ang pinag-aawayan is a sort of a foundation na involves funding. ‘Pag ganyan, ayokong makialam.”

Christopher was referencing the one-person corporation that Ian, the only biological son of the veteran actor and Aunor, established as the “sole heir” of his mother. Ian previously said he had informed his adoptive siblings, Lotlot, Matet de Leon, Kenneth and Kiko, about the corporation. However, his sisters disputed this, saying Ian had even refused their earlier invitation to establish a foundation to honor Aunor’s legacy.

Christopher said he has not meddled in matters involving Aunor and that he does not want to further fuel the feud by publicly speaking about it.
“Kung meron akong gustong sabihin, sasabihin ko kay Lot nang diretso, sasabihin ko kay Ian nang diretso na,” he said, noting that both Lotlot and Ian are adults who can handle their own issues.
“Definitely, one day, magkakaayos ‘yan. Hindi pwedeng hindi, at hindi ko rin naman papayagan na hindi magkaayos,” Christopher continued. “By the grace of God, magkakaroon ng reconciliation ‘yung dalawa. Kasi masyado pang mainit ngayon, e. ‘Pag pumasok ka doon sa heat ng gulo, lalo lang gugulo.”

Christopher also lamented how Lotlot and Ian’s relationship has turned out, recalling how close the two were when they were younger. The celebrity father nonetheless underscored that he has been doing what he can to ease the conflict.
“‘Yan ang pinakaayaw natin siguro… Marami sigurong nag-aaway tungkol sa mga naiwan, inheritance or whatever. But kung ano man ‘yon, bakit niyo pag-aawayan ‘yung gano’n, ‘di ba? They have their own reasons why they’re acting like that. So hindi mo mapapakialaman yon,” he said.

“Nalungkot talaga ako but I’m not worried. It will happen naman e. Hopefully, maayos. The sooner, the better,” he added. /ra
