WR Tyreek Hill could sign with new team soon, agent says

Free agent Tyreek Hill's agent Drew Rosenhaus said he plans to begin negotiating a deal for the veteran wide receiver with multiple teams Monday.

"I would anticipate Tyreek potentially signing with a team over the next few days," Rosenhaus told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

One team in the mix is the Kansas City Chiefs, who have maintained contact with Hill.

A reunion between the Chiefs and Hill is intriguing for both parties.

Kansas City has a need at wide receiver with Tyquan Thornton out indefinitely after suffering a dislocated left ankle Sunday, sources told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Rashee Rice also left the Week 4 win with a hamstring injury. Through the first four weeks, Rice and Thornton have been the Chiefs' best receivers, combining to make 24 catches on 31 targets for 409 yards and three touchdowns.

Hill is available after the Miami Dolphins released the 10-year veteran in February in a move that helped clear significant salary cap space. Hill sustained a season-ending dislocated left knee and tore multiple ligaments, including his ACL, in Week 4 of last season.

Hill began his career in Kansas City, playing alongside quarterback Patrick Mahomes and tight end Travis Kelce for six seasons and recording 62 total touchdowns during that span. Hill's familiarity with coach Andy Reid and the Chiefs' offense could help ease his transition back onto the field. The Chiefs also believe Hill -- who in the past month has posted videos on his social media accounts of himself running routes and catching passes -- is targeting his return in November.

Information from ESPN's Nate Taylor was used in this report.
