Orlando Pirates October fixtures include Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs

Orlando Pirates begin the month with one of their biggest matches of the season when they face Mamelodi Sundowns in the MTN8 final on Saturday, 10 October.
The continental campaign then takes centre stage before the Sea Robbers return to Premier Soccer League action and eventually face Kaizer Chiefs in the Soweto Derby.
ORLANDO PIRATES’ OCTOBER FIXTURES
The first major test comes on Saturday, 10 October at 18:00, when Orlando Pirates face Mamelodi Sundowns in the MTN8 final.
The Buccaneers will then switch their attention to the CAF Champions League, travelling to face African Stars in the first leg of their second qualifying-round tie on 17 October at 17:00.
Abdeslam Ouaddou’s side will also have domestic commitments during the continental campaign. TS Galaxy‘s visit is scheduled for 18 October at 18:00 but the game faces a reschedule.
The second leg against African Stars is scheduled for 24 October at 17:00, with Pirates hosting the Namibian side as they look to progress in the CAF Champions League.
The month then ends with one of South African football’s biggest fixtures.
KAIZER CHIEFS IN THE SOWETO DERBY
On Saturday, 31 October at 15:30, Orlando Pirates will host Kaizer Chiefs in the Soweto Derby. The fixture comes just one week after the second leg against African Stars, adding another major test to what will already be a busy month for the Buccaneers.
