Translate

President William Ruto on Sunday attended a church service at St Mark’s Catholic Church in Matunda, Likuyani Constituency, Kakamega County, as he continued his engagements in Western Kenya.

The President was accompanied by Likuyani MP Innocent Mugabe and Navakholo MP Emmanuel Wangwe during the visit.

His church appearance came a day after he led Mazingira Day celebrations in Endebess, Trans Nzoia County, where he championed environmental conservation and reiterated the government’s target of growing 15 billion trees by 2032.

Ruto’s Development Visits to Western Kenya

Ruto has made several development visits to Western Kenya this year, including a five-day tour in March that covered Kakamega, Busia, Bungoma and Vihiga counties.

During the tour, he launched road projects and housing initiatives and inspected infrastructure projects aimed at improving regional connectivity and supporting trade.

His administration has also prioritised efforts to revive the region’s sugar industry, including visits to sugar millers and the launch of road projects intended to improve transport links for farmers and businesses.
