MANILA, Philippines — Face-to-face classes in parts of Luzon are suspended on Wednesday, September 9, due to the continued effects of the southwest monsoon or “habagat.”

Below are the following areas with suspended face-to-face classes on Wednesday

Pampanga

• San Simon – no face-to-face classes; all levels; public and private (except Concepcion Integrated School); until Friday, Sept. 11
• Sto. Tomas – no face-to-face classes; all levels; public and private; until Saturday, Sept. 12

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration earlier said in a weather advisory that the southwest monsoon may continue to bring heavy rains to Luzon and Visayas on Tuesday.  /gsg
