5 Emmerdale spoilers for tonight reveal emotional Vinny news

Emmerdale spoilers follow from Thursday's episode (15 October), which is available to watch now on ITVX and YouTube but hasn't aired on ITV1 yet.

In tonight's Emmerdale, Mandy braces herself for an emotional day as she heads off to visit Vinny for the first time since his shock attack.

Elsewhere, Moira tries to sabotage Samson's chances of re-joining his family, and Sadie's behaviour around Caleb leaves Cain feeling very concerned.

Read on for five big moments from Thursday's episode…

1. Mandy visits Vinny

Mandy is relieved when she's given permission to see Vinny in jail for the first time since his recent attack.

She later returns with the news that Vinny is recovering well and shouldn't be targeted again, as the man responsible has been transferred. Additionally, the incident is likely to have been an "initiation" for a new prisoner rather than a sign of what's to come.

Despite those positive signs, Mandy breaks down as she frets about being separated from Vinny for so long.

2. Moira commits sabotage

It's war between Moira and Lydia ahead of Samson's release from prison. Moira reckons that Matty is most deserving of the available room at Wishing Well Cottage, but Lydia is adamant that Samson needs to move back in.

Moira points out that Samson's parole could be jeopardised if the authorities knew he was being sent to live in the house where Matty is currently staying, after everything that happened two years ago. The family agree to keep Matty's living arrangements quiet, but Moira spots an opportunity to ruin things and tells Samson's parole officer!

3. Sadie uncovers more information

Sadie takes part in a drinking game with Ruby, Manpreet and Vanessa.

As secrets are revealed, Sadie is intrigued to learn that Ruby and Caleb have both cheated on each other in the past. She's also surpised to hear about Caleb's past in the foster system. Is she gathering evidence that she can use to manipulate the Miligans in the future?

4. Cain issues a warning

Cain is uneasy when he realises that Sadie is spending time with Caleb and Ruby.

Aware that Sadie always has an ulterior motive, Cain warns Caleb to avoid her like the plague. But is Caleb already underestimating the trouble Sadie could cause?

5. A poker game takes place

Claudette surprises everyone with her card game skills when a low-stakes poker match takes place at The Woolpack.

Robert, Joe and Jai agree to play a bigger game very soon, with much more money on the line – and they even convince Claudette to show what she's made of again. We can watch out for that in Friday's episode...

Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 8pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
