The Continental Overseer of Continent 3 of The Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Johnson Odesola, has urged the newly inaugurated Region 66 in Badagry, Lagos State, to prioritise evangelism, discipleship, and community impact.
Odesola spoke recently during the inauguration of the region at its headquarters in Badagry.
He stated that the creation of the region should go beyond expanding the church’s administrative structure, urging its leaders and members to build on the work of their predecessors and take the church to greater glory.
“Today is not just a mere inauguration of a new region. We are celebrating more than that and declaring our expectation of what it will do.
“There is the past glory, there is the present glory, and there is a greater glory. Thank God that yesterday is good, but we cannot be formal in yesterday,” he said.
The cleric urged leaders and members to appreciate the sacrifices of those who contributed to the church’s growth while striving for greater achievements.

“Everything God has done thus far becomes the foundation for what we want to do next,” Odesola said. “And I pray to God that He, with your help, will take us from where we are to greater glory.”
He stated that the success of the new region should not be measured by the number of positions or structures created, but by its ability to reach more people and deepen their faith.
“The establishment of a new region should therefore not be merely administration; it must be more advancement. Not merely more territories, but more possibilities. Not merely more structure, but more strength. Not merely more partnership, but more disciples.
“A new region means increased responsibility. New territory requires greater leadership. Greater harvest requires more labourers. And greater membership requires stronger discipleship. Greater opportunity requires greater wisdom,” he said.
The pioneer Pastor-in-Charge of Region 66, Femi Olunuga, identified three core values for the region: Christ-like character, loyalty, and excellence, represented by the acronym CLE.
Olunuga mentioned that the region would develop leaders who are loyal to God, the church’s mission, their superiors, colleagues, and subordinates while pursuing excellence rather than mediocrity.
