Jimmy Connors is mentioned each year at the US Open. His legendary tennis career includes eight ATP Grand Slam singles titles, five at the US Open. His entertaining on-court personality was always a hit with the New York fans.

Connors was back in New York last week to present the US Open trophy to 2026 champion Alexander Zverev.

He hosted "Connors Kitchen" episodes from his kitchen during the COVID-19 pandemic showing off his impressive culinary skills. Everything was prepared from scratch.

Connors still holds untouchable tennis records

Connors retired 30 years ago but still possesses some of tennis's most impressive records.

In addition to being a fan favorite, Connors has 109 titles and an astounding 1,274 ATP wins.

Coach, author, and analyst

Connors briefly engaged in coaching stints with Andy Roddick (2006) and Maria Sharapova (2013).

He published his autobiography called The Outsider in 2013.

Connors also worked for NBC, BBC, and Tennis Channel at the Grand Slams through the years.

He has proven to be as interesting and charismatic in retirement as he was during his playing days.
