The coolest launches for Londoners this autumn

While you might still be humming Zara Larsson’s declaration that “summer isn’t over yet”, the autumn-winter fashion season has other ideas. Before you know it, those tan lines will fade and you’ll be questioning every shell bracelet you find in pieces around your home. No matter, cheer yourself up by embracing the back-to-work spirit with a wardrobe sharpener. There’s a riot of happenings around town to tempt you…
All Saints resurgence
It’s fair to say that the Spitalfields-based indie-sleaze-era favourite hasn’t been bothering the fashion agenda much in recent years, unless you were in the market for a dodgy waterfall leather jacket. But what goes out must come back in and this season it’s vying for our wallets with its first offering from new creative director Aaron Esh. Londoner Esh, whose sharply tailored eponymous collections have made him a darling of London Fashion Week, has turned out to be a rather good fit for the brand. Katy England’s styling certainly helps, but the streamlined outerwear, neatly detailed knitwear and cool-girl party dresses are definitely worth a look, as are the greatly improved leather jackets. There is also a particularly good reversible suede tote bag (£269) that would solve most laptop-commuter-lugging issues. allsaints.com
Get into the Chopova Lowena Club

Chopova Lowena Club
Well done Bethnal Green on snagging the first store — or clubhouse, as they’re calling it — from everyone’s favourite Bulgarian-British mash-up duo Chopova Lowena. As you’d imagine, it is entirely in keeping with their idiosyncratic, throw on more prints, motifs and carabiners attitude. The space is an adorably folkloric wonderland filled with Polish pine, vintage stickers and Bulgarian tapestries. Are you going to the till or to visit Little Red Riding Hood? Who can tell! Superfans will faint over the fully customisable carabiner skirt bar, Hellmann’s aficionados will swoon over its mayo bag collaboration, others might just want a jaunty sock. It’s all there alongside some in-store only exclusives. The perfect IRL antidote to the homogenous shopping scroll. Open Thursday to Sunday, 84 Teesdale Street
Discover Ester Manas
FitFlop | Ester Manas
The feted Belgium-based designer, who works alongside her husband Balthazar Delepierre, is an impressive choice for FitFlop’s latest collaboration. The zingingly hued and textured collection is an ideal way to break out of the safe-loafer industrial complex. It’s very Chewbacca goes to Central Saint Martins (we mean that in the best way!). The sleek slip-on mules (£115) are one of the season’s chicest hits. Move quickly if you want in — this is a one-hit wonder collab. Once it’s gone, it’s gone. fitflop.com
Adorn yourself
Me+Em is venturing into gilding with its first full jewellery offering. Punchier than you might imagine, the Atelier collection is made in Italy from 24-carat gold plating. As you’d expect from the highly practical brand, the earrings can be worn in three different ways, the rings are stackable and the lariat necklaces adapt to any neckline. Functional and frankly pretty fabulous — the black and gold iterations are particularly good. From £150, meandem.com
Bonjour, again

Sezane
Sézane, your favourite purveyor of Left Bank chic, has had a grown-up glow-up — with better fabrics, too (ie a lower reliance on polyester, which is welcome in a high street sea of oil-derived materials). The knitwear has been a sell-out success, but if you’re in the market for a new trench the Lior with removable cape is pretty punchy (£325), as is the tomato red Jule jacket (£345). sezane.com
Running frills

Simone Rocha adidas collection
Ben Broomfield @photobenphoto
Fashion editors almost wept with delight when Simone Rocha unveiled her first adidas collection at her Ally Pally catwalk show in February. Elbows at the ready — it’s finally here. Her signature frills and flounce meld hypnotically with the three stripes over a tiered dress (£250), while her take on the holy trinity of Firebrand, Beckenbauer and Superstar (£220 to £350) track tops is inspired (think puff sleeves and plenty of tulle). See also the excellent pony-hair effect Japan slip-on trainer with pearl punctuation (£180) and Taekwondo ballerina (£220). Heaven. It will likely sell out, but fear not, this is the first of many collections to come. All good things come to those who wait, etc. adidas.com and simonerocha.com
Blow your whistle for Whistles
Happy birthday to Whistles, which is marking 50 years in service to our wardrobes with a sexy new makeover. To celebrate, the brand rounded up 50 of its loyal customers and gave them starring roles in its autumn-winter campaign. It features an excellent shearling collared brown leather bomber jacket, a funnel neck trench and a pair of cargo trousers which are going to have you misty-eyed for Pure Shores (if you know, you know). whistles.com
Your new fashion crush
We’ve been salivating across the pond at TWP (worn by Julia Roberts and Martha Stewart), the brand from New Yorker Trish Wescoat Pound and her daughter, Jillian. Think of it as a sort of Ralph Lauren meets Khaite — just enough Americana preppy appeal, fused with modern wardrobe classics. It’s had runaway success since launching five years ago, with 10 stores now in the US. A great double-layered shirt, slouchy leather trousers, the exact right blue denim, you know the drill. Thrillingly it’s opened its first international outpost at 28 Bruton Street — see you there. From £125, twpclothing.com
