Fourth Wing's new casting report has drawn mixed reactions.
It was reportedly revealed that Violet Sorrengail and Xaden Riorson have finally been cast for Amazon MGM Studios' upcoming adaptation of the romantasy novel Fourth Wing. Esther McGregor and Emilio Sakraya have landed roles many have wanted and that fans have even cast. However, not everyone has approved of the announcement. While everyone waits for Amazon's confirmation, the fanbase has reacted to the news across social media.
A lot of reactions to Sakraya's casting were positive, including one stating, "I'm seated. The Prime Video employees are scared and asking me to leave because fourth wing is 'not even released yet' but I'm simply too seated," and another shared similar sentiments, "Sakraya winning the fan vote is rare. Studios usually ignore the internet and cast a nepo baby instead. Prime Video actually listened for once."
However, not everyone was happy about the news. Some comments included "Did they read the book and understand what the description of Xaden was? Because this is definitely not it," and "I’m not gonna watch it. What a letdown. That’s my fav book and this is NOT Xaden."
