Activist and politician Morara Kebaso has issued a public message of introspection following weeks of widely publicized personal disputes, stating he chooses restraint over continuing a public feud.

Posting on his Facebook page on Sunday, September 13, Morara shared a statement expressing regret for the escalation of recent events, hours after posting a brief update stating he felt humbled. Without naming specific individuals, Morara acknowledged his responsibility as a public figure, writing that a leader should never be too proud to apologize. He noted that while he possessed evidence he could have used to defend his position and prolong the dispute, he chose during a period of silence to hold himself accountable and de-escalate the situation. He concluded his message by calling for focus on moving forward, emphasizing that each person’s success aligns with divine purpose.

The statement comes after a prolonged public fallout with his first wife, Mercy Makini, which began earlier in September 2026 after Morara publicly introduced a second wife. Mercy subsequently released statements rejecting the polygamous arrangement, alleging domestic violence and child neglect following her departure from the matrimonial home in March 2026. Morara had previously refuted those claims, citing financial support and property construction provided to her family.
