Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty reaffirmed Egypt’s firm rejection of any violations or attacks against Saudi Arabia.

This came during a meeting on Sunday, September 13, 2026, with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah Al Saud.

During the meeting, held on the sidelines of the BRICS Summit in India, Abdelatty stressed Egypt’s full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and its support for the Kingdom in confronting anything that threatens its security, sovereignty, or territorial integrity.

The two ministers discussed a number of issues, foremost among them the fraternal bilateral relations between Egypt and Saudi Arabia, including high-level exchange of visits and ways to advance institutional cooperation frameworks in line with the strategic nature of relations between the two countries.

They also exchanged views on recent regional developments, including efforts to de-escalate tensions in the region and promote regional security and stability.
