Celebrity Traitors hit by 'sensational' bombshell that has 'never been seen' on show

Translate

The Celebrity Traitors has nearly reached its climax, with tonight's penultimate episode set to feature a "sensational” bombshell that, according to reports, will alter the course of the series altogether.

The Faithful were represented by James Blunt, Sebastian Croft, Joanne McNally, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Michael Sheen, Romesh Ranganathan, Sharon Rooney, although the previous episode ended on a cliffhanger as the remaining players voted whether to banish comedian McNally or Barbie star Rooney.

And ahead of Friday (30 October) night's finale, there are now reports that tonight's episode features a twist that could change the course of the series altogether.

A source told The Sun: "Just when you think you know exactly how the series will play out, there's another sensational turn of events.

"It's one which no one is likely to see coming – the producers of the show certainly didn't predict it."

The insider continued: "The likes of this has never been seen on the show before and may never be seen again. It all adds up to make the semi-final an absolutely unmissable episode and the perfect lead into the finale on Friday.”

The Standard has contacted the BBC for comment.

The castle will play host to plenty of twists and turns before Friday’s final

While Traitor Richard E Grant was immediately banished from the competition after publicly admitting to being a Traitor, with recruited Traitor not far behind him, the trio of original Traitor Jama and recruits Acaster and Kenny have gone remarkably undetected in the game so far.

After their fellow players voted them the most trusted in the castle, Jama joked that they had already "completed the game", leading some fans to speculate that this comment could be foreshadowing the Traitors' downfall.

From previous series, we know that big twists can come late in the game. In series three of The Traitors, Francesca was given the power to learn the identity of one of the other finalists, which led to her finding out that Charlotte was a Traitor.
