Daredevil: Born Again future confirmed after season 3 – and it’s not good news for Marvel superhero

Disney+ has confirmed that the upcoming third season of Daredevil: Born Again will also be its last.

Fans were delighted with the news earlier this year that the sci-fi show had been renewed for another season after season 2 was left on a huge cliffhanger.

But now they will be sad to hear that Charlie Cox will only be reprising the role of blind lawyer Matt Murdock one last time, with currently no reason given for the show's cancellation.

Cox debuted as the Hell's Kitchen vigilante almost a decade ago on Netflix in Daredevil, a show based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name and set in the MCU. Daredevil ran for three seasons before its cancellation in 2018 and now the Disney+ spin-off has met the same fate.

The first season of the Disney+ spin-off, which debuted in 2025, was met with strong ratings, and was the best series premiere on the streaming platform for 2025, with 7.5 million viewers worldwide in its first five days.

Season 2 was left on a whopper of a cliffhanger, with the season finale seeing the rivalry between Daredevil and Kingpin (Vincent D'Onofrio) spill out onto the streets of New York City, culminating in a climactic riot at the central courthouse.

Daredevil: Born Again season 3 will pick up from the earth-shattering events of this finale, which saw Matt Murdock arrested for his many years' worth of vigilante activity as Daredevil.

Joining Cox in the cast of the final season are Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page and Wilson Bethel as Bullseye.

Daredevil: Born Again season 3 does not yet have a confirmed premiere date, but the new episodes are expected to arrive sometime in March 2027.
