17 Reasons Why Walmart Has Better Deals Than Amazon This Week

Amazon’s awkwardly-named “Prime Big Deal Days” are back, with the retailer promising “millions” of deals across 30+ categories on Amazon.com. But if you’re looking to score a real bargain this week, or get a head start on holiday shopping, you may want to consider Walmart instead.

The retailer’s regular “Rollback Deals” already offer enticing discounts, but Walmart has launched an anti-Prime Day sale this week, dubbed “Deals & More.” The Amazon alternative sales event runs from Oct. 5 to 11 and promises limited-time discounts on electronics, toys, clothing, beauty tools, home goods and more.

And while Amazon’s best deals are reserved for Prime members, you don’t need to sign up for any membership program or subscription to claim the Walmart offers (though Walmart+ members may get additional perks like free shipping).

Worth noting: while Walmart says its site is offering up to 50% off select items, I did a deep dive and found products on sale for up to 84% off (some of which are listed below). As with all Walmart deals, pricing and availability could change at any time, so we recommend adding to cart while the sale price is live.

Apple AirPods 4

One of the best deals during Walmart’s “Deals & More” event this week is on AirPods, with the retailer offering the new AirPods 4 for just $80 — the lowest price ever.

For comparison, the AirPods 4 are currently not available on the Amazon site (as of this writing) and the next cheapest pair of Apple earbuds on Amazon start at $129+.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A11+ Widescreen Tablet

Walmart has this Samsung Galaxy tablet for cheaper than Amazon and in an exclusive silver colorway.

The do-it-all tablet lets you watch TV shows and movies, stream content on YouTube, check your social media, read books, listen to music, and more. You can also make and take calls via the built-in camera.

onn Medium Rugged Speaker With LED Lighting

Walmart’s in-house electronics brand, onn, has a number of tech products on sale this week, including this portable Bluetooth speaker, marked down to under $20.

The speaker has built-in “feet” to let it stand securely on any flat surface, while built-in LED lights amp up the party. Battery life is strong, with up to 12 hours of playtime on a single charge. Choose from four colors online.

This is an exclusive Walmart brand, so you won’t find this speaker deal on Amazon.

onn 55-Inch Class 4K UHD Smart TV

You can also pick up this big screen TV deal from Walmart, which gets you a 55-inch 4K Ultra HD TV for just $178. The super-thin display is packed with powerful features inside, including support for VIZIO, Dolby Vision HDR, and DTS:X immersive audio.

For comparison, Amazon’s in-house TV model, the “Ember” is $279.99 for a 55-inch unit. Walmart’s TV is also compatible with Amazon Alexa for hands-free voice controls.

PlayStation 5 Digital Console Slim – 825GB

It’s almost impossible to find a new PS5 online these days (and Amazon only has used models available), but Walmart still has the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition available as of this writing.

The PS5 console is slim and sleek and has an 825GB ultra-high speed SSD for fast and easy loading, plus capacity for 4K gameplay. This set includes a wireless controller. You’ll want to hurry as this is selling out everywhere, so we recommend adding to cart while it’s still in stock.

ODREY Dash Cam With 4K Display

Walmart’s deal week offers a chance to pick up tech products you may not normally consider, all at a discounted price. Case in point: this ODREY dash cam, which features a Sony IMX sensor with 4K front resolution and 2.5K rear resolution.

The front camera offers a wide 160-degree angle view, while the rear camera offers a 155-degree field of view. Enhanced night vision lets you keep an eye on your surroundings, even in dim light.

This is an online-only deal at Walmart.com, where shoppers give it a 4.3-star rating (out of five) from more than 2,000 verified reviews. Amazon has similar 4K dash cams starting around the $100 price range, and without the same amount of reviews.

GOOLOO Car Jump Starter

Another tech accessory you’ll want to pick up: a portable jump starter for your car.

There’s no more waiting for AAA to come if you find yourself with a dead battery — this palm-sized device can jump start 12V vehicles with up to 6.0L gas and 4.0L diesel engines. Amazon doesn’t sell this 1500A model, which is the cheapest in the GOOLOO roster.

These wraparound headphones are ideal for running or workouts, with a super light weight, a flexible titanium band, and an IPX67 rating for waterproofness. The open ear headphone design also allows you to stay aware of your surroundings. A single charge gets you up to 12 hours of battery life. At a whopping 84% off, this is one of the best Walmart deals this week.

The viral HydroJug tumbler is still at its regular $34.99 price on Amazon, but Walmart has the water bottle on sale for 20% off online.

The triple-wall stainless steel construction keeps drinks cold for hours, while the shape allows for easy handling (and slots into most car cup holders). Choose from multiple colors on sale at Walmart.com.

Crocs Adult Baya Clogs

Crocs are up to 50% off at Walmart during their “Deals & More” sale. Walmart has multiple sizes and colorways in stock and on sale. For comparison, the same style is only marked down to $40 on Amazon.com.

Mingdaln 1.85″ HD Smartwatch

Walmart and Amazon both have the Apple Watch on sale this week, but only Walmart sells this Apple Watch dupe, available for just $21.

The smartwatch features a vivid HD touchscreen, flexible rubber band, waterproof construction, and more than 120 different tracking modes, letting you monitor everything from steps walked to calories burned. You can also listen to music, check the weather, and more, all from a single device.

Free Assembly Men’s Lightweight Trench Coat

Walmart also has a ton of apparel and accessories on sale this week, especially from its in-house brands.

This deal gets you a men’s trench coat from Walmart’s private label, Free Assembly, for less than the price of dinner. We love this “olive bark” colorway but you can get it in a classic tan too. Choose from sizes XS to 3XL.

Free Assembly Men’s Cashmere Crewneck Sweater

Walmart also sells this real cashmere sweater for just $58 — an unbeatable price. The men’s sweater is available in ten different colors and sizes XS to 2XL.

Walmart says the crewneck is made from 100% cashmere sourced directly from “inner Mongolian herders.” The sweater is also certified by The Good Cashmere Standard (GCS), which is an industry benchmark for ethical and responsible cashmere production, with a focus on animal welfare and environmental production. You can shop women’s cashmere sweaters from $45 here.

Walmart also has some pretty great accessories on sale this week, including this “Rodeo” bag that’s a dupe for the Balenciaga version of the same name.

While the designer bag can run up upwards of $5,000 in stores, Walmart has this slouchy leather bag on sale for under $100. This one is selling fast!

Walmart also sells this women’s messenger-style bag with an oversized flap and buckle closure. It’s a decent dupe for a similar Chanel style, and you can get it for just $129.

Walmart says this is made from genuine full-grain cowhide. We like this “grey 1” shade, but you can choose from five colors online.

If you want to score an actual designer bag deal, Walmart has this Michael Kors mini tote for 68% off.

Shark’s all-in-one hair styling and drying tool is on sale for $199 at Walmart — the first time we’ve seen it under $200 this year. For comparison, we have not seen this on sale for Amazon Prime Big Deal Days.
