Italy international Riccardo Calafiori scored his first Arsenal goal at the Emirates in a 2-1 win over Leeds United on Saturday, receiving praise on social media from some of his teammates.

This will go down as an unforgettable week for Italy international Calafiori, who not only scored his first international goal a few days ago in the Azzurri’s 3-1 win over Turkiye, but also netted his first goal at the Emirates Stadium for his club, Arsenal.

Calafiori marked the occasion with an Instagram post showing his celebration on the pitch and writing, ‘First one at the Emirates,’ adding a heart emoji.

His social media post received over 227,000 likes and more than 2,000 comments in less than a day.

Among those commenting on Calafiori’s Instagram post were his compatriot and Aston Villa defender, Matteo Ruggeri, as well as Arsenal players Bruno Guimaraes, Ezri Konsa and Illan Meslier.

Calafiori, 24, now has two goals and two assists in seven club games this season.
