Emmerdale kicks key character out of Home Farm in early ITVX episode

Emmerdale spoilers follow from Thursday's episode (24 September), which is available to watch now on ITVX and YouTube but hasn't aired on ITV1 yet.

Emmerdale's Gabby Thomas gets evicted from Home Farm tonight as Joe Tate demands total loyalty from Kim.

Gabby has found herself embroiled in the drama surrounding the deaths of Dawn Fletcher and Jimmy King after Vinny Dingle was on the phone to her when he caused the fatal wedding marquee crash.

With the truth now out, it's Gabby's turn to face Joe's wrath in Thursday's episode as he insists that she's no longer welcome in the Tate family home.

Joe tells Kim: "Gabby's 'really sorry'. She's 'really sorry' for aiding and abetting her murderer ex-husband.

"She was on the phone. She knew that that idiot was driving. She practically witnessed Vinny driving Jimmy off the road! I want her out. Either she goes or I do."

Although Gabby protests that her 4-year-old son Thomas needs a stable place to live, Kim reluctantly decides that her allegiances are with Joe this time.

"I love you and Thomas very much," Kim explains. "But right now, Joe needs us more than you do. He has to take priority. I'm sorry."

With nowhere else to go, Gabby decides to move back in with her stepmum Laurel at Mulberry Cottage.

Sadly for Gabby, even this proves difficult as Laurel frets about how her best friend Nicola King will react to the news as she continues to grieve for Jimmy. Heading to see Nicola, Laurel braces herself for a difficult conversation…

Meanwhile, with Gabby facing a backlash from all directions, could this worsen the troubles she's already facing with her self-esteem and issues with food?

Earlier this year, Emmerdale announced that Gabby is struggling with Orthorexia – a dangerous fixation on healthy eating and the quality of food.

Rosie Bentham, who plays Gabby, said at the time: "Gabby is losing control of her life in many aspects - love interests, not finding her place, and her mum being away in Portugal.

"While Orthorexia isn't currently a recognised eating disorder, it is an excessive concern for everything going into her body. It will be interesting to see how this plays out regarding her relationships, her son Thomas, and her job in the food industry."
