Emmerdale reveals future of Vinny crash secret - but there's drama ahead

Emmerdale spoilers follow for the latest episode to air on ITV1 as well as ITVX and YouTube.

Emmerdale has aired some tense scenes for Vinny Dingle after it was revealed that he was the one responsible for causing the crash that killed Jimmy King and Dawn Fletcher because he was distracted while on the phone to Gabby Thomas.

In tonight's episode, Gabby received a text demanding that she goes to Vinny's house immediately.

She found Kev Barton waiting, who told her: "I thought it was time me and you had a little one-on-one.

"Young Vincent, this little pickle he's gotten himself in. I know. And, get this, in a shock turn of events, I do have a conscience and, well, if I'm feeling guilty about this I can't imagine what's going on in [your head]."

Gabby admitted that it was killing her having to lie and cover up the truth in front of everyone, especially Jimmy's widow and her own auntie Nicola.

"Which is imperative why you do not say a word," Kev interjected. "Them finding out's not gonna bring Jimbo back now, is it? The thing is, my son loves the bones of that lad, meaning that I've always got his back, and I'm not gonna let my son, or Vinny, get hurt."

Gabby asked if Kev was threatening him and he complained that he doesn't get why people always think that of him. But he then released he was waving around a large knife (it was for caked he had baked).

"Look Gabby, I'm not threatening, I'm not even asking you. I'm begging you. Please don't break Lewis' heart," he said, on the verge of tears.

Gabby said she wouldn't be going to the police, but insisted that it wouldn't be for the sake of anyone but herself.

However, it looks like the truth might out soon, as scenes next week show that it's weighing very heavily on Vinny's mind.

Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 8pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
