Rachita Ram clarifies viral fan video: 'My fans did not express their love towards me with any wrong intention'

Kannada actress Rachita Ram recently celebrated her 34th birthday with fans outside her residence in Bengaluru. During the celebration, the actress happily posed for selfies and interacted with several admirers.

A video from the event, however, soon caught attention online after a fan was seen pinching her cheek while taking a selfie. Another fan also appeared to attempt a similar gesture before Rachita Ram stopped him. The clip quickly spread across social media, leading to different reactions from viewers.

Rachita Ram says fan’s gesture had no wrong intention

Amid the discussion, Rachita Ram has now explained how she viewed the incident. The actress said she did not feel that the fan had any inappropriate intention and chose to take the gesture positively.

“My fans did not express their love towards me with any wrong intention. My friends who saw the video asked me, ‘Didn’t you get angry?’ But I felt that my fan expressed his affection just like someone lovingly pampering a child.

There was no wrong intention in it,” she said. Rachita added that she would have reacted differently if she had felt that the fan had crossed a line.

Rachita Ram calls the viral incident a form of appreciation

Speaking further about the moment, Rachita Ram made it clear that her reaction was based on how she understood the fan’s intention.

“If it had been an inappropriate touch, I would definitely have reprimanded him. But when someone expresses pure love, how can I reprimand them? I took it as a form of appreciation. In fact, I really enjoyed that love,” the actress said. Her clarification has now added another perspective to the viral video.

While some fans appreciated her calm response, others online stressed that personal boundaries should be respected even during fan interactions.
