6 evacuated from Baguio village still reeling from fatal landslide


BAGUIO CITY — Six Baguio residents were evacuated on Thursday after a landslide damaged a house at Purok 3 in Barangay Guisad Surong, where a much bigger August 9 erosion killed 10 people, the Baguio City Police Office (BCPO) said.
Police helped relocate the six affected residents to a pastor’s house in Purok 4.

Authorities said they will install temporary covering and other protective measures at the affected site to prevent further soil erosion.
