'Lioness' star Laysla De Oliveira reacts to the explosive rescue episode in season three

"Lioness" star Laysla De Oliveira is pulling back the curtain on the episode that shocked viewers.

Episode seven of season three aired this past Sunday, and viewers finally saw the moment the entire season had been building up to:

A brutal gunfight unfolded after Texas police stopped her captors. Eventually, Joe's team swooped in and saved their boss with gunfire from the ground and the team on the helicopter.

The payoff was worth the wait for fans of the series, and it has set the stage for what should be a wild season finale.

Oliveira, who plays Cruz on the hit Taylor Sheridan series, spoke with ScreenRant in an interview published Thursday about her reaction to the explosive rescue episode.

She loved watching it all unfold, despite knowing exactly what was coming.

"I'm just so happy that we're finally rescuing her, because it's one thing shooting the season, and we're shooting out of order, and with different timelines. It's another thing watching with everyone and being like, 'Damn, they're right, like, X amount of weeks have gone by, and we haven't found Joe.' I've been really enjoying all the videos of people teasing us and saying that they're gonna go find her themselves. I'm happy that we can give that to the audience, that that is resolved, and that also that there is more to come," the talented actress told the outlet.

Now, fans are dug in waiting to see what happens in the finale episode of season three, which is titled, "The Unraveling."

It's worth noting that the finale of "Yellowstone" season one was also titled "The Unravelling." Read into that as much as you'd like! Is Sheridan hinting at stakes similar to when it went down in the "Yellowstone" universe? Might be time for a re-watch.

There are also plenty of theories flying around online on Reddit about who the mysterious mole might be. That's the last large looming question that needs to be answered.
