Ron Livingston, Beverly D’Angelo & Omar Benson Miller Join Tyrese Gibson In ‘Don’t Open The Door’; Shannon McIntosh & NFL Star Cam Heyward Join As Producers

EXCLUSIVE: Ron Livingston (The Conjuring), Beverly D’Angelo (American History X) and Omar Benson Miller (Sinners) will star with Tyrese Gibson (Fast & Furious franchise) in writer-director Deon Taylor’s horror film Don’t Open the Door.
Oscar-nominated producer and long-time Quentin Tarantino collaborator Shannon McIntosh (Once Upon a Time in Hollywood) and NFL star Cameron ‘Cam’ Heyward are partnering with Taylor and Roxanne Avent’s Hidden Empire Film Group to produce the movie.
Shannon is producing through her McIntosh Films banner and Heyward via his new Iron 97 Productions label. Maxime Alexandre (The Nun) is aboard as cinematographer.
Plot details are being kept under wraps but will deal with “real-world trauma”. Principle photography begins this week in Mississippi. The filmmakers say they are also launching a graphic novel-inspired universe that will work to push the story beyond the screen.
Director Deon Taylor, whose films include Fatale, Black & Blue and The Intruder, said: “Don’t Open the Door is going to scare audiences like they’ve never been scared before and the performances of Ron, Beverly and Omar, alongside Tyrese are what’s going to make that happen. They each bring important layers very much needed in a story as twisted as this. Having this group anchor our movie and welcoming partners Shannon and Cam into the production has as us as more excited than ever.”
Ron Livingston is represented by UTA, Thruline Entertainment and Hansen, Jacobson. Beverly D’Angelo is represented by IAG and MPE. Omar Benson is represented by IAG and Mainstay Entertainment. Deon Taylor, Roxanne Avent Taylor and Hidden Empire Film Group are represented by CAA.
