All 24 Copa del Rey matches, scheduled for Wednesday, have been postponed by the Spanish national football federation (RFEF) due to the train accident that killed 30 people in Spain.
The accident was caused by a high-speed train colliding with a stationary train, leading to 80 people being injured and the death toll potentially rising.
“Shocked by the tragic train accident. It said it ordered the postponement of the games “in solidarity with the victims,” RFEF said.

“The entire Spanish soccer community stands united in grief over this tragedy and has made itself available to the authorities to assist the victims of this devastating accident,” the federation added.
RFEF will be revising and releasing the schedule for the tournament later; games on Tuesday went ahead, and the matches on Thursday are also set to go as scheduled.
La Liga has not yet announced any postponement for the weekend’s matches.
