Coronation Street's Jack P Shepherd shares cheeky Christmas wish after hair transplant

Coronation Street's Jack P Shepherd has shared a cheeky Christmas wish following his recent hair transplant. The actor, who plays David Platt on the soap, underwent the cosmetic procedure for a third time this summer.

This week, Shepherd shared an update with fans on Facebook, showing off his progress after just three months. But with the final results set to be revealed in December, the star has teased much bigger aspirations regarding his new locks.

Appearing on Good Morning Britain today with his on-screen wife Julia Goulding, Shepherd was praised for his "cheeky little glow-up" by presenter Richard Arnold.

"I got a hair transplant three months back, so we're halfway through, so hopefully at Christmas time I'll be Elvis!" Shepherd laughed in response.

Arnold added: "Jack, you look absolutely great, as indeed you do, Julia. Thanks for joining us from the Rovers, with a couple as tightly woven as Jack's new weave!"

Shepherd previously referenced the King of Rock and Roll when revealing his hair transplant to his co-stars Ben Price and Colson Smith, on their podcast On The Sofa.

"This is my third one. So most people are thinking, I thought you'd just get one hair transplant and then it's Elvis," he explained.

"But that's not the case, apparently, because baldness still progresses as time goes on. So I had one in 2018, 2019, and now. So I've had it all done mainly on the front and sections."

The actor had the surgery while on paternity leave from Corrie, amid the birth of his daughter Constance.

"I could see it, I could see it further back in the middle. I could see it going in. So it was sort of act now while I could and I had a bit of time off for the baby, so it was perfect," he said.

Coronation Street airs on weeknights at 8.30pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
