3-year-old boy dies after fall from 11th floor in Sepang
SEPANG: A 3-year-old boy died after he was believed to have fallen from the 11th floor of an apartment in Bandar Baru Salak Tinggi here early today.
Sepang police chief Assistant Commissioner Norhizam Bahaman said police received a report on the incident at 5.54am.
The boy was pronounced dead at the scene.
"An investigation paper has been opened under Section 31(1) of the Child Act 2001 to investigate the incident.
"The post-mortem at Hospital Sultan Idris Shah in Serdang has been completed," he said in a statement today.
Norhizam said preliminary investigations found that the boy's parents were at home when the incident occurred.
He advised the public against spreading unverified information about the incident.
"Anyone with information is urged to contact the investigating officer, Inspector Mohamad Farizi Ramlee, at 014-3145347 to assist in the investigation," he said.
