He’s Dangerous As A Focal Point On The Pitch — Ex-Real Madrid Star Hails Arokodare
Former Ajax, Real Madrid and Netherlands striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar has described Nigeria international Tolu Arokodare as a dangerous player when he is the focal point on the pitch.
Arokodare joined Ajax on a season-long loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers in the summer after Wolves’ relegation to the Championship, and has quickly put his difficult spell in England behind him.
The 25-year-old has scored *six goals and provided two assists in just nine appearances* across all competitions for the Dutch giants.
Speaking on Voetbal International’s _Pak Schaal Podcast_, Huntelaar highlighted the Super Eagles striker’s impact.
“I think Tolu is doing well. He has scored his goals and is dangerous as a focal point when he is on the pitch,” Huntelaar said.
The former Dutch striker has been impressed with Arokodare’s ability to influence games through his physical presence and goalscoring threat.

Arokodare endured a tough debut Premier League season at Molineux, scoring only three league goals in 38 appearances despite arriving for around €27m from Genk as the Belgian Pro League’s top scorer with 21 goals.
But under new Ajax management, the 6ft 6in forward has rediscovered the form that made him one of Europe’s most feared strikers, with Ajax holding an option to make the deal permanent next summer.
Ajax are set to begin their Conference League campaign next month, giving Arokodare another stage to prove his resurgence is more than just a hot start.
Arokodare was in action for the Super Eagles in their matchday 1 and 2 Group L, 2027 AFCON qualifiers with Madagascar and Guinea-Bissau, coming on a second half substitute in both games.
