Fans know that Tyrone's evil father Ross Wilkes has been causing trouble at home with his meddling and things will come to a head next week.

It all starts when Dorin tells Tyrone that Aled punched him, and Ross begins winding him up. Ross insists that Tyrone needs to get tough and pushes him to confront the Winter-Browns.

In the preview clip Tyrone and Ross are seen at Chesney and Gemma's house, complaining about Aled. When Chesney says that Aled and Dorin were just playing, Ross doesn't back down, with Tyrone coming to his dad's defence.

When Tyrone starts to talk about Chesney and Gemma having five kids, Chesney quickly jumps in and brings up Tyrone's affair with Alina.

Ross then asks his son if he's "going to stand for that", to which Tyrone replies "no" before punching Chesney. A shocked Gemma then orders Tyrone and Ross out of her house.

Speaking about the upcoming scenes, Alan Halsall, who plays Tyrone, said: "Nobody punches Ches.

"When it becomes physical, there's an immediate realisation from Tyrone: 'Oh God, this isn't me, this isn't right, I shouldn't have done that!' He might not be willing to admit to himself straight away that he did it for his dad."

Of course Fiz will not be happy that her husband got physical with her brother and her suspicion of Ross will only increasing, potentially causing a rift in their marriage.

"Ross definitely has the capability to cause problems between them," Alan added. "Tyrone doesn't see the manipulation, whereas Fiz is quick to spot it.

"To Tyrone, it looks like these things are small hurdles they can get past, so he tells Fiz to stop being so harsh. But he's not seeing the bigger picture."

Coronation Street airs on weeknights at 8.30pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
