Coronation Street has revealed Jodie Ramsey's sinister next move amid huge affair lie. Jodie has made it her aim to work her way into sister Shona's life, going so far as to gaslight her into believing that she is a danger to baby Harper's life. However, Jodie's scheming has since reached new heights as she has claimed to be having an affair with David Platt, but her lies have seemingly failed to convince some.

In tonight's episode (1 October), Jodie tells her father Doug that she and David have been secretly carrying on behind Shona's back after arriving to the house with a bouquet of flowers.

Shona quizzed Jodie on the previous night's events and asked her whether she thinks this new man is a "keeper". However, Jodie gave her short answers and didn't reveal much.

Doug later asked her whether David had bought her the flowers, to which she responded: "No." But when he wasn't satisfied with her response and said he'd speak to Shona about it, Jodie then changed her answer.

She then went on to claim that the two had been secretly seeing each other behind Shona's back for a while. "At first, it was like forbidden fruit," Jodie claimed. "You know, but the more time we spent together, the more serious it became."

Jodie went on to say that the two of them are destined to be together, leading Doug to exclaim that he would tell Shona. A panicked Jodie urged him not to say anything, and that they'd be telling her next week after her birthday party.

Their conversation is soon interrupted by the appearance of Tim Metcalfe, but it was far from over. Doug revealed that he would keep quiet until after Shona's birthday, but he would be confronting David with his suspicions.

However, with this in mind, Jodie set her sights on tampering with her dad's anti-psychotic medication in a bid to discredit him.

Later on, Shona revealed that Jodie had bought those flowers herself, and David told her that the two had had a drink in the salon after her date cancelled.

Jodie then appeared to ask Shona if she could try on some tops for her date tomorrow, but she instead tried on her wedding dress, complete with her bouquet.

It won't be long before Jodie's scheme starts to unravel as her plan to discredit Doug seemingly backfires. And Corrie bosses have since promised that the final showdown will be an explosive one. How far will Jodie take her plan to replace Shona?
