Defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) have released Grace Harris, Linsey Smith, D Hemalatha and Gautami Nayak ahead of WPL 2027. Ellyse Perry, who missed the 2026 edition because of personal reasons, has made herself available for the upcoming season.

Gujarat Giants (GG), meanwhile, have let go of Danni Wyatt-Hodge, Ayushi Soni, Titas Sadhu and Shivani Singh.

Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals released six players each, while UP Warriorz released as many as eight players, including Shweta Sehrawat, their only retention ahead of the 2026 season.

The fifth edition of the WPL will be played from January 14 to February 7. The auction for that will be held on October 28 in Kochi.
