Yash’s ‘Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups’ is reportedly heading towards its digital premiere following a theatrical run that fell short of the expectations surrounding the actor’s return after ‘KGF: Chapter 2’.

Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the pan-India gangster action drama was among the most anticipated releases of the year, with its ambitious production scale and ensemble cast generating considerable buzz before its theatrical debut.However, the film received mixed-to-negative reactions from audiences and struggled to maintain momentum at the box office. Attention has now shifted to its OTT release, with viewers waiting to know when and where they can stream the film.

Yash starrer ‘Toxic’ reportedly to stream on ZEE5 from September 25

According to a report by 123Telugu, ‘Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups’ is expected to premiere on ZEE5 on September 25, 2026. However, the reported streaming date has not yet been officially confirmed by the filmmakers or the streaming platform. If the reported date is finalised, viewers will be able to watch the film digitally nearly a month after its theatrical release. The movie is also expected to be available in multiple languages, potentially allowing it to reach a wider audience across different regions.

An official announcement regarding the OTT premiere date is still awaited.

‘Toxic’ digital deal reportedly under pressure after theatrical performance

The film’s reported OTT release comes amid speculation surrounding its digital deal. A Bollywood Hungama report previously claimed that the makers had received an offer of approximately Rs 150 crore from a leading streaming platform. However, the team was reportedly seeking more than Rs 200 crore. The film’s theatrical performance is said to have affected the negotiations, with digital platforms reportedly offering significantly lower amounts.

There have also been reports that the makers are considering an alternate cut of ‘Toxic’ for its OTT release, although details about any changes remain unconfirmed.
