Indian badminton star P.V. Sindhu will face the UAE’s Prakriti Bharath in the Round of 32 at the Hylo Open on Wednesday.
Sindhu enters the tournament on the back of a runner-up finish at the French Open in Paris last week, where she lost to World No. 1 and rival An Se-young of South Korea.
Despite winning the opening game, Sindhu was unable to sustain her advantage as An Se-young fought back to clinch the title with a 16-21, 21-11, 21-12 victory.
Following her run in Paris, Sindhu climbed three places in the BWF world rankings, moving from 11th to eighth.
