Translate

Sony Pictures Entertainment has set former Amazon MGM Studios executive Jamie Kampel as EVP, Head of Consumer Products & Licensing,

Her appointment follows the recent exit of Jamie Stevens as EVP of Worldwide Consumer Products at Sony Pictures but Kampel’s role appears to be broader. She reports to Jay Levine, EVP, Chief Strategy Officer and Business Operations.

Kampel has over 20 years of experience across major studios, building global consumer products organizations at the intersection of IP, entertainment and retail. She most recently ran Consumer Products Licensing at Amazon MGM for about 7 years, with previous roles at Legendary Entertainment, Marvel Entertainment and Disney.

She has specialized in driving commercial strategy, building global licensing infrastructure and pioneering innovative content-to-commerce models. Her SPE function, now residing centrally at the corporate level, is meant to bring greater consumer products and licensing coordination across the company’s Film, Television, Game Shows and Crunchyroll divisions around a shared strategy and operating model.

Said Levine: “We see a real opportunity to unlock even more value from our IP — and Jamie brings the experience, creativity, and collaborative approach required to lead us into this next phase of growth.”
