“Build Yours”- Oga Obinna Slams Kenyans Criticizing Size 8 and DJ Mo’s New Mansion
Media personality Oga Obinna has stepped up to defend gospel singer Size 8 and her husband DJ Mo following online backlash over their newly constructed house, urging critics to focus on building their own homes instead of dictating how others should live.
In a video posted on his Instagram page on Friday, November 6, 2026, Obinna called out netizens for picking apart the couple’s architectural and design choices despite contributing zero financial support toward the project.
“DJ Mo na Size 8, naona mliwajengea Wakenya walikuwa wamewapa contract muwajengee nyumba vile wanaitaka. Na mistake mlifanya ni nyinyi mkajenga nyumba vile munataka, na Wakenya hawajafurahia,” Obinna quipped, mocking the sense of entitlement from social media users.
Defending the Architectural Choices
Addressing the flurry of online comments scrutinizing everything from the house’s lighting and bathroom plants to overall room temperature, Obinna drew parallels to the backlash rapper Khaligraph Jones faced when he revealed his own mansion.
“Kenyans would contribute one bob, not a cent, not a shilling. Hata sumuni mtu hajatoa. Umeenda umebuy shamba yako, ukajenga nyumba yako,” he stated.
Having visited the site multiple times during its construction phase, Obinna noted that he witnessed firsthand the discipline, budgeting, and hard work DJ Mo and Size 8 poured into the property. He estimated the multi-million-shilling home could have cost upwards of Ksh 50 million, adding that the final output aligns perfectly with the couple’s personal taste.
“Fagia Kwako, Jenga Yako”
Concluding his statement, Obinna issued a direct challenge to armchair critics, advising them to showcase their own projects before picking apart other people’s milestones.
“Build yours. Fagia kwako, jenga yako,” he urged, warning that relentless public negativity often cheapens hard-earned accomplishments.
Offering words of encouragement to the couple, he added: “Size 8, I love the house. It came out exactly how you guys wanted it. And you guys love the house; that is what matters. Your family loves the house. Enjoy your house.”
