- Apple (AAPL) unveiled a redesigned iPad mini on Monday, adding an OLED display, a faster processor, and water and dust resistance to its smallest tablet.
- The new model features an 8.5-inch OLED screen, up from the previous generation's smaller display, and Apple's A20 Pro chip, which the company said would improve performance for AI tasks.
- The new iPad mini starts at $699 for the Wi-Fi model and $849 for the Wi-Fi and cellular version. Customers can preorder the device from Wednesday, with availability beginning Nov. 6.
- The tablet also includes a 12-megapixel front camera designed for video calls, faster wireless and cellular connectivity, and support for fast charging. It runs iPadOS 27, which brings updated Apple Intelligence features and a revamped Siri.
- The tablet will be available in midnight and starlight finishes, with storage options of 128 gigabytes, 256 gigabytes, and 512 gigabytes.
