COTABATO CITY — Police authorities arrested three drug suspects and seized P1.3 million worth of suspected shabu in Lanao del Sur on Tuesday.

Brig. Gen. Christopher Abecia, Police Regional Office-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region (PRO-BAR) regional director, said police conducted the buy-bust operation in Barangay Matling, Malabang town.

It led to the arrest of alleged big-time drug peddlers, identified in police reports through their aliases as “Aki,” “Jahed,” and “Galy,” all residents of Malabang town.

Abecia said the suspects were immediately collared after one of them handed over the illegal stuff to an undercover agent during the 4 p.m. buy-bust.

The suspects, who did not resist arrest but were visibly stunned by the turn of events, are now detained at the Malabang municipal police station awaiting the filing of charges before the provincial prosecutor’s office on Tuesday.

Abecia lauded the operating units, backed by the military’s 64th Infantry Battalion and the Malabang local government unit./coa
