DLH secures $2M NIH data governance pilot task order
DLH (DLHC) announced on Monday that it has been awarded a task order to design, develop, and pilot a data governance framework for secure access to controlled biomedical research data by the National Institutes of Health, or NIH.
Under this task order, DLH will serve as a technical advisor to harmonize NIH and federal data policies and integrate governance workflows across biomedical data platforms, piloting a data management approach within the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, or NHLBI, and at least one other NIH Institute or Center, which could serve as a roadmap for NIH-wide adoption.
DLH added that it will incorporate security, privacy, data rights, and artificial intelligence governance requirements where applicable and collect performance metrics related to usability, compliance, interoperability, and stakeholder satisfaction.
This task order represents new work for DLH and has a total value of $2 million over an eighteen-month period of performance, the company highlighted.
