The Remarried Empress Webtoon Launches Side Stories Ahead of Disney+ Live-Action Series

Naver WEBTOON announced on October 28 that the The Remarried Empress webtoon will launch side stories on its Daily Plus service on October 29 at 10:00 p.m. KST. The new episodes will also be available on the platform's global services.
Note: The below two paragraphs contain spoilers for the end of the webtoon series.
Written by Alphatart and adapted into a webtoon by writer Heree and artist SUMPUL, The Remarried Empress follows Empress Navier, who responds to her emperor husband's demand for a divorce by seeking to remarry. The side stories will feature newlywed life for Navier and Heinrey after the birth of their twins, as well as stories about supporting characters that the main series did not fully explore.
The new episodes will also include alternate-universe stories that imagine different scenarios, such as revisiting the day Emperor Sovieshu announced his divorce or Rashta becoming Navier's maid.
The side stories debut ahead of the live-action adaptation. The Disney+ original series will premiere on November 4.
The webtoon has over 2.97 billion global views and has been translated into 10 languages. The series has a strong international following, particularly in Japan.
The webtoon ended in January after a seven-year run, but announced in February it would return this fall for side stories.
The English version of the The Remarried Empress webtoon is available on WEBTOON. Ize Press is releasing the series in print.
The webtoon also has an upcoming anime adaptation slated to debut in 2027.
