In an advisory issued at 8.30am, MetMalaysia said the affected areas include waters off Selangor, Negri Sembilan, Melaka, eastern Johor, Pahang, Sarawak, eastern Sabah, and Lahad Datu.

Wind speeds could reach up to 50kph with rough seas and waves rising to 3.5m, posing a hazard to small craft.
