Hoobastank Cancel Long-Awaited Brazil Tour as “Rising Logistical Costs” Make Shows “Impossible”

Translate

Hoobastank have canceled their entire 2026 tour of Brazil, citing rising logistical costs that have made the planned concerts financially unfeasible.

“Due to circumstances beyond our control, we will be canceling our Brazil 2026 Tour,” the American rock band wrote in an official statement. “We were very excited to return to Brazil after many years, but unfortunately, rising logistical costs have made it impossible for us to make this tour work at this time.”

The six-date run was scheduled to begin November 1st at the Somos Rock Festival in Vila Velha, followed by concerts in Belo Horizonte, Curitiba, Campinas, and São Paulo before wrapping up November 8th at the Rock Festival in Nova Iguaçu. The shows would have marked Hoobastank’s first Brazilian performances in nearly 11 years, as Billboard Brazil points out.

“We hope to arrange another tour in the near future,” the band added, although no replacement dates have been announced.

The cancellation has also affected the lineup of two Brazilian festivals. Somos Rock Festival will proceed without a replacement for Hoobastank, while Rock Festival Nova Iguaçu has added Brazilian rock band Fresno to its November 8th lineup.

Best known for their 2004 hit “The Reason,” Hoobastank released “How Do You Sleep?” in July, their first new single since 2018.

Despite the Brazil cancellation, Hoobastank still have a November 20th show scheduled at The Roxy Theatre alongside Audiovent. The band is also set to join Staind and Seether for an extensive North American tour beginning March 4th, 2027, in Manchester, New Hampshire.
