PN parties agree on seat distribution for Melaka polls — Tuan Ibrahim

Translate

KOTA BARU: All parties in Perikatan Nasional have agreed on the seat allocation finalised with Barisan Nasional for next month's Melaka state election.

PN deputy chairman Datuk Seri Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man said the allocation resulted from discussions between both sides.

"All parties agreed on the seat distribution, and there are no issues arising from this matter.

"There will be several understandings and agreements between PN and BN," he said when contacted today.

It was previously reported that BN chairman Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi confirmed negotiations with Pas had concluded for the Melaka election.

Zahid said under the negotiations, BN confirmed it would contest 21 state assembly seats, while Pas and its allies would contest seven.

Meanwhile, Tuan Ibrahim said support for PN in Melaka remained highly positive, and he hoped the momentum would continue until polling day.
