Betway Premiership fixtures: Chiefs and Sundowns travel away

Betway Premiership giants Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs headline the domestic action.

Orlando Pirates and Durban City will be in action in CAF competition.

The weekend gets underway on Friday night when Stellenbosch FC host Sekhukhune United at Athlone Stadium. Stellenbosch FC will be looking to climb from 11th position after a slow start to the season.

Sekhukhune United have enjoyed a stronger opening and currently sit fifth on the table. Babina Noko will be looking to make their position count when they travel to Cape Town.

The Friday night clash presents an important opportunity for both teams. Stellenbosch FC need a positive result to move up the table, while Sekhukhune United will want to strengthen their position among the leading teams.

Saturday brings three Betway Premiership fixtures, with Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns both taking centre stage.

Kaizer Chiefs travel to Polokwane City looking to continue their positive start to the campaign.

The match at Peter Mokaba Stadium gives Kaizer Chiefs another opportunity to collect valuable points and build momentum in the Betway Premiership.

Later in the day, Mamelodi Sundowns will put their perfect record on the line against Chippa United.

Siwelele FC will be looking to respond after their recent defeat when they welcome Lamontville Golden Arrows to the Free State Toyota Stadium.

Both teams will be targeting a positive result as they look to improve their positions in the Betway Premiership.

Elsewhere, newly promoted Milford FC face Richards Bay FC in another important fixture. TS Galaxy FC will then close the weekend when they host Kruger United FC at the Solomon Mahlangu Stadium.

Away from the domestic action, Orlando Pirates and Durban City will represent South Africa in CAF competition this weekend.

That adds another layer to a busy weekend for South African football, with the country’s leading clubs fighting for points domestically while also chasing success on the continental stage.
