Asian Games 2026: Full list of venues for Aichi-Nagoya Games in Japan

The 20th edition of the Asian Games will be held in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, from September 19 to October 4. The 43 sporting events will be hosted in 54 venues spread across the Aichi Prefecture and Nagoya, with around 11,000 athletes taking part in the Games.

Here are all the venues going to be used for the 2026 Asian Games:

Nagoya City Mizuho Park, Nagoya - Athletics (Track and Field and Marathon), Rugby sevens, Football, and Sepak takraw

The park’s stadiums and gymnasium arena will host the sporting events and the athletics stadium will also hold the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2026 Asian Games.

Aichi International Arena, Nagoya - Basketball and Judo

The arena, which was inaugurated in July 2025, has a seating capacity of approximately 17,000 people. 

Nagoya City General Gymnasium, Nagoya - Aquatics (Water Polo) and Gymnastics 

The Asian Games will utilise the multipurpose facility’s Rainbow Pool and the Rainbow Hall, which can approximately seat 3,500 and 10,000 spectators respectively. 

Tokyo Aquatics Centre, Tokyo - Aquatics (Diving and Swimming) 

Following its construction for the Tokyo 2020 Games, this aquatic venue has approximately 5000 spectator seats and the pool is certified to international standards. 

Furuhashi Hironoshin Memorial Hamamatsu Swimming Center, Shizuoka - Aquatics (Artistic Swimming) 

The venue features an internationally certified main pool with a movable floor and a diving pool as well. 

Nagoya International Exhibition Hall, Nagoya - Sport climbing

The venue serves as one of the largest exhibition facilities in the Chubu region, with a seating capacity of approximately 15,000 and easy access via public transport. 

Nagoya City Inae Sports Center, Nagoya - Mixed Martial Arts and Wrestling

The multipurpose sports facility features the First Arena with a floor area of 1,650m² and can accommodate approximately 3000 spectators. 

Nagoya City Trade and Industry Center, Nagoya - Weightlifting 

The facility, developed with the aim of promoting small and medium-sized enterprises, will be used as the venue for weightlifting for the upcoming edition of the Asiad. 

Nagoya City Higashiyama Park Tennis Center, Nagoya - Tennis and Soft Tennis 

In preparation for the upcoming Asian Games, the tennis center, which was opened in 1993, has undergone renovations, and offers seating for approximately 4,000 people. 

Nagoya Kinjo-Futo Arena, Nagoya - Squash 

The bowl-shaped arena allows spectators to watch the sport closer to the competition floor and the renovations for the upcoming Asiad has improved the facilities and accessibility of the venue. 

Nagoya Velodrome BMX Race Course, Nagoya - Cycling (BMX racing)

The full-scale BMX racing course, which was opened in 2025, features a 330m long track, a 5m high start hill, and seating facilities for approximately 156 spectators. 

Kinjo Futo Station Square, Nagoya - 3x3 Basketball

The temporary venue outside the Kinjofuto Station on the Aonami Line will serve as a 3x3 basketball court during the Asian Games, with seating measures being made for approximately 1,000 spectators.

Aichi Sky Expo, Tokoname City - Breaking, BMX freestyle, Esports, Fencing, and Skateboarding

The venue is one of Japan’s largest international exhibition centers and has six large-scale exhibition halls and an outdoor multipurpose area. It is also directly connected to Chubu Centrair International Airport. 

Korogi Athletic Park, Nisshin City - Cricket 

A cricket ground was developed in the athletic park specifically for the Asian Games, and is Japan’s second facility to feature a natural grass pitch. 

Sky Hall Toyota, Toyota - Table Tennis 

The facility was developed as a core hub for sports and recreation in Toyota and features a main hall, a sub hall, and a martial arts hall. It is also designed to be barrier-free, making it a regular host for para-events. 

Aichi Prefectural General Shooting Gallery, Toyota - Shooting (Rifle, Pistol, and Shot gun)

The venue is one of Japan’s largest comprehensive shooting facilities which opened in 1993. It features both a clay shooting range and rifle and pistol, which was recently renovated for the Asian Games. 

Gifu Prefectural Green Stadium, Kakamigahara - Hockey

It is the only hockey venue in the area that meets international competition standards, with upgrades made to the same specifications used for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. 

Equestrian Park, Setagaya-ku - Equestrian (Dressage, Eventing, and Jumping)

The venue has previously served as the equestrian venue for the Tokyo Olympic Games in 1964 and 2021. 

Kasugai Country Club East Course, Kasugai - Golf

The hills of Kasugai City is home to the 36-hole golf club that was established in 1964, which recently underwent renovation, making it reach world-class standards. 

Okazaki Chuo Sogo Park, Okazaki - Volleyball, Archery, and Baseball

The venue consists of the Multipurpose Square, where archery will take place, the gymnasium for some sessions of volleyball, and the baseball stadium for preliminary rounds for baseball as well as the bronze medal match.

Toyohashi Municipal Baseball Stadium, Toyohashi - Baseball  

The venue has been around since 1980 and has consistently hosted professional baseball games. The baseball final for the upcoming edition of the Asian Games will be conducted in the stadium. 

Toyohashi City General Gymnasium, Toyohashi - Karate and Taekwondo

The General Sports Park in Toyohashi also features the municipal gymnasium, which has approximately 3,000 spectator seats. 

Anjo Sports Park, Aichi - Softball and Modern Pentathlon

The park spans over 20 hectares and will host the modern pentathlon while the softball field will also be utilised during the 2026 Asian Games. 

Ichinomiya City Municipal Gymnasium, Ichinomiya - Badminton

The Main Arena of the indoor facility is approximately 3,100 m² and the venue also has two additional arenas. 

Nishio Gymnasium, Nishio - Boxing

The gymnasium is the largest indoor sports facility in Nishio City that opened in 1993 and boxing will be held in its main arena. 

Nagaragawa International Regatta Course, Aisai and Kaizu - Rowing 

The venue is located on the Nagara River between Aisai City and Kaizu City, and is one of the few regatta courses that meets international standards with its straight 2000m layout. 

Yahagigawa Canoe Slalom Course, Toyota - Canoe Slalom

It is a natural whitewater venue along the Yahagi river and has previously hosted multiple international events, including the World Cup. 

Miyoshi Lake Canoe Course, Miyoshi - Canoe Sprint

The canoe venue, which was developed in 1994, is a permanent 500m, nine-lane course that has hosted numerous international competitions before. 

Izu Velodrome, Izu - Cycling (Track)

The indoor cycling venue has a 250m wooden track that meets international standards and was previously the venue for the sport at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.  

Obata Ryokuchi Park, Nagoya - Cycling (Mountain Bike)

The park, which is surrounded by hills and wetlands, will be the venue for Cycling (Mountain Bike) where a temporary track will be set up for the upcoming Asian Games.   

Shinshiro Cycling Road Course, Shinshiro - Cycling (Road)

The specially designed course for the Asiad incorporates a 23km circuit through the Tsukude and Horai areas of the city. 

Toyota Stadium, Toyota - Football 

The venue is one of the largest ball sports-specific stadiums in Japan, which even hosted the Rugby World Cup. It can accommodate up to 44,380 spectators and will host the men’s football finals. 

Nagoya City Minato Soccer Field, Nagoya - Football

The football stadium offers spectators the chance to view a game at a close range due to the proximity between the stands and the pitch. Some games of the Asian Games 2026 football will be held here. 

Wave Stadium Kariya, Kariya - Football

The venue features a natural grass field which will host the men’s and women’s football preliminary matches for the Asiad. 

Gifu Nagaragawa Stadium, Gifu - Football 

The stadium, which is Gifu’s central stadium, has previously hosted multiple international and domestic football and athletics events. For this edition of the Games, it will host some sessions of football games. 

Shizuoka Stadium Ecopa, Fukuroi - Football 

The multipurpose stadium will host some of the men’s and women’s football games. 

Nagai Stadium, Osaka - Football 

The venue is known as one of the most premier sporting stages in the world and has hosted multiple international sports events. For this edition of the Asian Games, a section of the football games will be held here. 

Pacific Long Beach, Tahara - Surfing 

The beach is one of Japan’s leading surf spots, drawing surfers throughout the year, and hosts multiple international events. 

Hekinan Ryokuchi Beach Court, Hekinan - Beach Volleyball 

This internationally recognised white sand venue will be set up with temporary courts and spectator stands for the Asian Games. 

Park Arena Komaki, Komaki - Volleyball 

The multifunctional facility is centered around its main arena that has a seating capacity of approximately 5,000 spectators. 

Gamagori City Triathlon Venue, Gamagori - Triathlon 

The course, which was specially designed, will have 0.75km of swimming, 20km of cycling, and 5km of running performed by each athlete, aiming to be the fastest to cross the finish line. 

Aichi Prefectural Martial Arts Hall, Nagoya - Ju-jitsu, Kurash and Wushu

The venue was established in 1993 with the purpose of promoting martial arts and consists of six arenas. 

Kaiyoh Yacht Harbor, Gamagori - Sailing 

The competition will take place at Japan’s leading yacht harbours, which is located along the Mikawa Bay. It was also the venue for Japan’s first Sailing World Cup in 2017. 

Aichi Prefectural Government and Nagoya City Halls Loop Course, Nagoya - Race walk

Located close to the Nagoya Castle, the course is a 1 km loop, surrounded by government offices, including the Aichi Prefectural Police Headquarters and the Nagoya High Court.

Kasugai City Gymnasium, Kasugai - Handball

The venue, well-equipped with facilities, will host a few sessions of handball for this edition of the Asian Games.

Entrio, Inazawa - Handball 

The gymnasium opened in 2020 and will host the remaining handball sessions for the Asiad. 

Tokai Citizen Gymnasium, Tokai - Kabaddi

The main and sub arenas of the venue are equipped with high-performance sports floors and the main arena offers seating for approximately 1,200 spectators.
