It's The End Of An Era For Nintendo LEGO Sets

It's a sad year for Nintendo and LEGO fans, as a large number of collaboration sets reaches the end of its lifecycle. Nintendo and LEGO both market themselves as companies that create experiences for all ages. This means that collaborations between the two didn't just make sense, they were practically inevitable.
The first Nintendo-themed LEGO collab was, of course, Super Mario Bros. sets. These were released in 2020, and since then, the two companies have revealed many more themed sets surrounding Nintendo's beloved characters and franchises.
In the six years since the first Nintendo x LEGO sets launched, there have been builds based around Donkey Kong, Animal Crossing, The Legend of Zelda, Pokémon, and even LEGO remakes of Nintendo consoles like the Game Boy and NES. Now, several of these sets are scheduled to retire, much to the disappointment of fans of both.
LEGO sets come and go, as the company frequently cycles its offerings to keep things fresh. Unfortunately, this means that when a new set is introduced, it won't be around forever. There are several Nintendo LEGO sets that will be retiring soon, making them unavailable to purchase directly from the LEGO store as of December 31, 2026:

Of course, you'll still be able to purchase these sets secondhand. But as the sets won't be officially offered by LEGO, the prices will reflect this. Some of the older and more popular sets are likely to come with a hefty price tag on the secondhand market—so if you want any of the sets listed above, you may want to act soon before you lose your chance to buy them for their retail price.
If you're disappointed that so many sets are leaving the store, there's also some good news. Nintendo and LEGO have several new sets hitting stores soon. Look forward to these upcoming releases, coming to the LEGO website and retailers in the beginning of 2027:
