U.S. President Donald Trump on Thursday said Bombardier (BDRBF) would invest $270M in Kansas, Texas, and Indiana to create jobs.
"Senator Marshall, together with Attorney General Ken Paxton of Texas, has done an incredible job in getting this Deal done. They are STRONG Fighters for American Workers, and LOVE their States and our Country!" Trump wrote in a Truth Social post.
Trump signaled Monday that he would abandon his threat to block Canadian aircraft manufacturer Bombardier (BDRAF)(BDRBF)(BOMBF) from selling jets in the United States, citing the company's employment and manufacturing ties to Kansas.
In September he had targeted the company amid an escalating trade fight with Canada, vowing to bar the sale of their jets in the U.S.
The United States accounts for more than half of the company's revenue, making any restrictions on aircraft sales potentially disruptive to its business.
